Hello Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by! Over half of the year is passed. I just can't believe it. It seems like yesterday that school was getting out for the summer, now it's starting back again. Time just goes by quicker the older you get! Ha Ha
Sam and I had an unbelievable month full of great services. The Lord has allowed us to come in contact with some of the greatest Pastors and churches anyone could ask for. I could go on and on about how the Lord has richly blessed us! Gas may be $4.00 a gallon, milk $5.00 a gallon, & eggs $2.50 a dozen, but God is still good. He's in control of all things. I'm amazed at how the Lord has blessed our country! We have recently have started singing a song that we heard a youth choir sing. One of the verses reads, "We live in a country, the greatest on earth, the flag stands for freedom and what it is worth, she stands in the harbor, Miss Liberty calls, all have gave some, but have gave all, for me to be blessed". Those words are so true, I am so blessed!!!
We kicked off last month in Taylorsville, NC at the annual Taylorville Baptist Camp Meeting. Wow what a service. We do this with Ricky every year so that's great in itself. I had a friend take some stage and audiences pics so that will give a small idea of what the service was like. If you've never been you need to plan to go next year, these kinds of services don't just happen everyday. Thanks to Bro. Steve and his church family for allowing us to be apart of this!
Then we were off to Charlotte, NC for a Sunday morning service At Harbor Baptist with Pastor J.B. Ferrington. We were privileged to spend time with our friends and the assistant Pastor Heath Spivey and his wife Michele. Thank you Pastor and church family for inviting us to be apart of your services.
Have you ever heard a singer say that buses and singing outside are the worst! Well we really experienced one of those full speed ahead. Sam and I were at the annual 3rd of July singing in MS, which my home church puts on every year, when the bottom dropped out on the outdoor stage. People were running for shelter and groups were doing everything they could to get their sound equipment covered up. Fortunately, there were facilities on the premises that would hold the people and that the concert could be held in. Believe it or not this turned out to be a great night. The Lord just worked it out. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics because of the obvious. Thanks again to Corinth church for inviting us to be apart of this great event.
Then we were back with our good friends at New Canaan Baptist in Lawrenceville, GA. Thanks Pastor Michael and church family for allowing us to be apart of your Sunday morning service. There was a sweet sprit in that place! You can't explain how it feels when God uses you to help people.
I love Camp Meetings if you haven't figured that out. One of my favorite ones to be apart of is Freedom Camp Meeting in Lancaster, SC with Pastor Mitch Ingram. Our good friend Josh went with us to do the third part. Bro. Kevin Smith brought the message. Wow what a message! What a service! For a little while once again the Lord allowed us to experience worship the old fashioned way!
The last one for the month was pretty close to home in Newnan, GA at New Lebanon Baptist with Pastor Jimmie Flemming. This was our first time being at this church. They made us feel right at home and it was our honor to be there. This was homecoming service with dinner on the ground. I've always wondered why people say that, I've been going to homecoming services all my life and never actually had "dinner on the ground." Anyways maybe I'm too young to remember all that. This was a great service with great food. I don't think I've ever eaten so much in my life! Thanks again!
Well that's it for this month. Next month is pretty busy for us so make sure you stop by. I pray y'all are doing well!
Till Next Time,
LaBreeska
